Who we are
Talosquare is provided by Promintal Consulting Limited, Belfast, Northern Ireland. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at info@promintal.co.uk.
What we collect
- Account details: the name, email and role (for example student or recruiter) you enter when you create an account or sign in.
- Usage: when you open Talosquare, sign in or out, publish a post, send a connection request or message, apply for a job or post a job, together with a random visitor ID stored in your browser. We record that these actions happened and their type, such as the job title you applied for. We do not record the text of your posts or messages.
- Approximate location and device: country and city derived from your network connection by our host, and whether you use a desktop, tablet or phone.
While Talosquare is in preview, your profile, CV details, posts and messages are stored in your own browser and are not sent to our servers. We do not store your IP address and we do not use advertising cookies.
Why we use it
- To provide Talosquare and respond if you contact us for support.
- To understand how Talosquare is used so we can improve it.
- To contact you about Talosquare itself, such as important changes. We will not send you marketing emails unless you agree to them.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving the service.
Who processes it
Talosquare and its database are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which processes the data on our behalf. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else, including employers who post jobs on Talosquare.
How long we keep it
Usage events are deleted automatically after about 13 months. Your name and email are kept while you use Talosquare and deleted on request.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@promintal.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Storage on your device
Talosquare uses your browser's local storage to keep your profile, posts, messages, settings and a random visitor ID. Clearing your browser data removes them.
